Kenny Chesney made a surprise appearance at George Strait’s concert in Birmingham, Ala., last Thursday night (1/17). The two shared the mic on George's classic tune, “Amarillo by Morning.” Kenny was in Birmingham for a few days at a top-level sports training facility, working on mending his shoulder after undergoing surgery on it last month.
“It's amazing to think I just went over to visit and there I am, on stage with George Strait!,” says Kenny of his first stage appearance of 2008.
Kenny’s shoulder muscles are healing well and doctors believe he’ll be fit and ready when his own tour kicks off Apr. 26 in Columbia, SC.
The Kenny Chesney-George Strait duet, “Shiftwork,” is currently in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Country Songs chart.
