Alison-Krauss-Robert-Plant

Ex Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant and bluegrass icon Alison Krauss recently completed their Raising Sand Tour, drawing largely positive reviews on the heels of their Grammy award winning single, “Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On).”

The duo’s album, Raising Sand, climbed as high as No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums list and appeared on numerous best-of-the-year lists.

Not too shabby for a couple of musicians who had no idea what to expect from such an unusual pairing.

"I don't remember any of us really hoping for anything," Krauss told The Tennessean. "We were looking for a good time. With T Bone (producer of the album), Robert and myself, it was something very different than what we've done. It was, 'Let's go see what this is like.' "

The duo has already scheduled additional tour dates for September and October, and has publicly considered the possibility of future collaborations.
